    Those of us who drive Hawk Creek Road on a daily basis by necessity were grateful when Lincoln County paved about 5.5 miles of the road between Gunning Road and Miles-Creston Road in 2023. We were mystified as to why the remaining 1.5 miles of the road were left unpaved, but we thought perhaps the County just could not find the money to finish the job.     DAVENPORT — The Lincoln County Care and Share Thrift Store and Food Bank remains a thriving force for the community at its 203 Morgan Street location, which was purchased in Jan. 2022. President and full-time volunteer Cindy Warner said both retail traffic and food distribution remain brisk in the new location. Merchandise offered includes clothing for all ages, home furnishings and decor, vintage collectibles, shoes, books, tools and kitchenware.     DAVENPORT - The Lincoln County Care and Share thrift store and food bank is thriving at its new location at 203 Morgan Street across from Edna's Drive In. The operation moved into their new home in January, leaving the storage building that housed the store and bank at 13th and Sinclair Streets for years.
