Opera House Society The Society held their first meeting of the new year January 4, with new president Billie Herron at the helm. Mark and Sheryl Stedman, Ed and Bunny Haugan, Gordon Herron, Carol, Linda Wagner, Karen Robertson and Marge Womach also were present. Recently this writer viewed a photo of the Grand Social Brass Band that The Odessa Record published in its 1951 edition as the Golden Anniversary and reprinted in 8-18-1977. Veterans Day program The yearly Harrington Veterans Day Program organized by history teacher Mike Cronrath was held November 10, at 10:15 a.m. at the Harrington school gymnasium. Panels of art displays created by the students graced the pathway across the floor to the bleachers. Summer Reading In spite of summer vacations, Bridget Rohner has managed to keep the statistics high with the attendance this fourth week at 15 children.
