In November, 2001, following a two year period of interim ministering by Terry Van Blaricum, Pastor Bill Bull and his wife came to Harrington as the resident minister. Rev. Bull was born in 1944 and met his wife Bonnie in Princeton, Idaho. They have been married more than 40 years. The Harrington Opera House Society Rummage Room held its function on Tuesday, June 17, during the 11-4 p.m hours of the library's book sale. Considering it was on a weekday, there was a better than anticipated donation of about $160. Rain did not deter the treasure seekers. All funds donated are held for the eventual purchase of an elevator. The rummage events are planned to discontinue for the summer. This school year, 2013-14, is a walk down memory lane for one of Harrington's finest school teachers who has retired after 34 years of teaching, the first five years in Reardan Public School and the remaining 29 years at Harrington, serving the fifth and sixth grades. Jance, Lee Child, James Lee Burke, James Rollins and Stuart Woods. The family of Mark Wetjen donated two leases, a business certificate, and a winter jacket once owned by Dr. L.F .Wagner, an early day physician in Harrington, to the Harrington Museum. LaFayette F. Twenty five animal heads and furs have been on display in the Harrington Public Library since June of 1973. The late Louis Schultz was a Harrington farmer who enjoyed game hunting when he was not busy with keeping his farming operations going. Schultz began game hunting in 1946 and made two trips to Africa, trips into British Columbia, the Yukon and Alaska. Art book for library Local artist Les LePere has produced a book of a portion of his art work. A copy was purchased by his classmate Jasper Womach (Class of 1964) and donated to the Harrington Public Library. The book “Magic of the Objects” is a collection of 68 artistic drawings. Some of his titles are as unique and unexpected as the artwork itself.
