    HARRINGTON – Open meeting laws require city government to notify the public of the time and place of city council meetings and of the agenda for that meeting. The June 10 city council meeting was advertised to be either a conference call or to be held at Memorial Hall. However, four of the five council members had met at city hall based on an email received earlier in the week.     BHARRINGTON — The city has a new mayor. Mayor Pro Tempore Nathan Luck was officially selected to lead the city as mayor during a 6 p.m. virtual meeting Thursday, April 2. He was selected on a 2-0 vote of the council, with former Mayor Justin Slack and Councilman Levi Shenk supporting the nomination. Councilmen Peter Davenport and Luck himself abstained from the vote.     Harrington's Food Bank practiced social distancing during its most recent distribution day. An assortment of food was boxed ahead of time for customers arriving at the front doors of the Harrington Church of the Nazarene. One patron at a time was called to check in and receive supplies.     City Council meeting Harrington mayor pro tem Nathan Luck has requested a correction to the most recent published account of the February city council meeting. At issue was the statement that the city clerk had obtained a credit card without council authorization.     Historic Lyceums Harrington had a wide range of entertainments during pioneer days and the years following the 1902 incorporation of the Town of Harrington. At various times the promoters of entertainment scheduled a lyceum course. As early as 1889 the Hinshaws went to attend a lyceum at the Little Creek school house.
