Normally, the Odessa Town Council would have met on Tuesday, since Monday was a designated holiday, Veterans Day. The four young sons of HaLee and Colley Walter of Odessa participated in the Lincoln County Fair in Davenport in August, taking part in various aspects of the event and supporting one another in their various endeavors. The town council met August 27 in the public library to hear from Steve Nelson of Century West Engineering on the status of various projects dealing with streets and water/sewer infrastructure. Vacation Bible School, put on last week by the local churches that make up the Odessa Ministerial Association, drew youngsters from all over town and the countryside for a full week of activities, crafts, music and lessons on the Bible. The Odessa Town Council met Monday night to hear public input from a local citizen. The question posed was whether the residency requirement for council members was currently being met.
