    ODESSA—The school district here prefers to run its operational and capital improvement levies on an annual basis instead of on a two-or-three year basis.     SPRAGUE—Taxpayers are being asked to help Cemetery District No. 7 fund cemetery maintenance and operation expenses through a regular property tax levy on the Feb. 14 special election ballot. The levy would be collected for one year (2024), district commissioner Joy Vold said. Taxpayers would be charged approximately 28 cents per $1,000 of assessed property value for a total collection amount of $35,000.     SPRAGUE—The school district here needs funds to continue providing the services it presently does, and is counting on the will of the voters to provide that money through a replacement levy on the ballot in the Feb. 14 special election. The two-year levy will collect $215,000 each in 2024 and 2025, which is an increase from the $195,000 being collected annually on the present levy.     ODESSA—Lincoln Hospital District No. 1 voters will be asked to do what they’ve historically been willing to do in the special election coming up Tuesday, Feb. 14: pass a one-year operation and maintenance levy. The estimated levy rate is $2.36 per $1,000 of assessed property value for collection in 2024 and will bring in $671,800 “for paying part of the District’s operation and maintenance expenses,” according to proposition language.
