    Since starting for the Odessa High School boys basketball team as a freshman, Ryan Moffet, now a junior, has accumulated 2,000 points. Head basketball coach Larry Weber awarded Moffet a white basketball signed by all of his teammates to commemorate the event. Moffet spoke to The Record this week about his love of basketball and his future plans.     Tuesday January 22 the OHS Tigers brawled with the Columbia Lions of Hunters. The Lions were pummeled by the Tigers 66 to 24. Ryan Moffet ingeminated what he has done throughout the season, being the high scorer once again with 18 points.     On January 22 the OHS Lady Tigers fought valiantly and won their battle against the Columbia Lions. They won the game with a score of 65 to 14 in Columbia. High scorer in the game was McKennah Davison with 17 points. The Tigers were able to win, though, due to a fantastic TEAM effort.     Monday night’s meeting of the Odessa Town Council provided closure of a sort to the story of Odessa’s $12,000 per month contract with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office for coverage while the search for a new police chief went forward. At the January 14 council meeting, new police chief Brent Dell took the oath of office from Mayor Bill Crossley.
