Linda Kay Burghard was born Dec. 15, 1944 to Harvey and Ulla Haase in Ritzville. She passed away Feb. 19, 2015 due to compoications of a stroke. She was a caregiver for Shirley Libsack for approximately four years, and then managed a Sears outlet store combined with Lyndies’ Ceramics. She enjoyed scrapbooking and was an avid reader. A recent report from the Centers for Disease Control has established that 58 million nonsmokers in the United States are still exposed to secondhand smoke.
