DAVENPORT—Drivers traveling between here and Reardan will have to detour or deal with construction delays starting next week. Crews will be performing construction on an 11.5 mile stretch between the end of the bridge just east of Highway 25 outside the city and down Highway 2 to the west end of Reardan. Howard E. Schaffner, 90, passed away on April 19, 2022 at the Spokane Veteran’s Home after a long bout with cancer. Home was Harrington, Wash. Howard was born Dec. 18, 1931 in Deer Park, Wash. to Urban and Cora (Holee) Schaffner.
