    DAVENPORT – A Lincoln County Jail inmate has been found dead for the second time in the last month. Mark W. Robinson, 45, was being held in jail and awaiting transfer to the state Department of Corrections when he was found dead during a routine cell check around 11:30 p.m. May 6. Officials believe Robinson committed suicide. Family members have been notified.     DAVENPORT – A Creston man convicted of first-degree child molestation was sentenced to 12 months confinement in Lincoln County Jail. Mathew Scott Chafin, 31, will also serve lifetime probation and five years of treatment after he was found guilty of the charge in Superior Court May 4. Chafin originally pleaded guilty Dec. 15. A jury trial date had been for March 20 and readiness status set for Feb. 16, according to Lincoln County Superior Court records.     REARDAN – Council approved a request of police chief Andy Manke to begin the hiring process of two new reserve officers at its May 6 regular meeting. Manke is eligible to retire near the end of 2022.
