The state 1B/2B/1A track and field meet was held last Friday and Saturday, May 26/27 at Eastern Washington University in Cheney, with the Odessa-Harrington boys placing third as a team and gathering several individual medals at the same time. Justin and Natasha Parr of Odessa joyfully announce the birth of their son, Waylon Phillip Parr. He was born May 10, 2017, at 3:28 p.m. at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. Honie Bobetta Gies, age 75, of Kirkland, Wash. passed away peacefully on May 3, 2017 in Hawaii surrounded by her entire adoring family. She was born in Seattle on July 21, 1941, the only child of Thorne and Bobetta MacArthur. Honie grew up in Seattle and then moved to Kirkland to be closer to her horse and the equestrian activities in which she was deeply involved. Harrington Public Development Authority The monthly meeting of the Harrington Public Development Authority was held May 16, with Josh Steward, Allen Barth, Tim Tipton, Paul Charlton, Heather Slack and Bunny Haugan present. The new tourist brochure created by the PDA and the residential brochure created by the City were reviewed and met with approval. Election of officers took place.
