Matthew Walter Bren passed away unexpectedly on June 7, 2015, as the result of an auto accident. Matt was born to Frank and Donna Bren October 1, 1979. Matt attended elementary school in Odessa and later in St. Regis, Mont., before his family moved to Lind. Ronald W. Hardt, age 70, of Othello, passed away June 8, 2015 at Trios Southridge Hospital in Kennewick, surrounded by his loved ones. Ron was born in Spokane, Washington on July 24, 1944 to Alvin and Ruth Hardt. Until age eight he lived on a farm west of Odessa with his parents, two younger sisters and his favorite dog. Zachary A. Zagelow, 18, of Milton, Wis. died June 12, 2015 at Loyola University Hospital of Chicago, where he had been hospitalized in hopes of receiving a lung transplant. Zach was born February 13, 1997 in Spokane and underwent his first of several heart surgeries in his first week of life. At the joint meeting of the Odessa and Harrington school boards June 10 to discuss issues involving the athletic cooperative between the two schools, it was quickly apparent that better and more consistent communication was needed between the boards and the administrators of the two school districts.
