William R. Nixon went to Heaven on September 24, 2015. He was born January 27, 1947 in Wenatchee to parents Arthur and Wanda Nixon. The family moved to Chewelah when he was five. He lived there until he graduated from Jenkins High School in 1965. After high school Bill served three years in the Army, doing one tour of duty in Vietnam. The Odessa Town Council swore in its newest member, Kelly Watkins, at Monday night's meeting, with town clerk Gail Kiesz doing the honors.
