DAVENPORT--The Davenport football was named the No. 8 seed for the state playoffs and will take on the No. 9 Toledo Riverhawks of the Central 2B League in the first round of the tournament. REARDAN-The new readerboard that was constructed this summer was officially dedicated at a ribbon-cutting ceremony here Thursday, Nov. 4. DAVENPORT-Deputy Brian Hudspeth, a Lincoln County native, has joined the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office team. Hudspeth graduated from Reardan High School, where he played football and basketball and participated in track and field. The Odessa Tigers volleyball team has gotten stronger as the season has progressed. The team is helped by the return of Grace Nelson following ankle surgery. Michael Gies, 79, passed away at his home in Seattle on Aug. 6, 2021. He was born on Feb. 22, 1942. Mike was a 1960 graduate of Odessa High School and graduated from Washington State University in 1964. After receiving his Master’s Degree in mathematics from the University of Wisconsin in 1966, he spent several years teaching math at Skagit Valley Community College.
