ODESSA — The local school district prefers to run its levies on an annual basis, asking voters to assist with funding for educational programs, operations and capital projects. EDWALL - The local fire station has a new fire engine in house at no cost to Fire District No. 4 thanks to the Federal Firefighter Property program. The engine, named Engine 461, is a 1995 Pierce Arrow originally built for the Marine Corps. DAVENPORT — While the 2023 General Election won’t be officially certified until Tuesday, Nov. 28, all contested races have been, in essence, decided. There aren’t enough remaining ballots that would swing any race, and winners have been declared in crucial council, school board, fire district and cemetery district races.
