My favorite time of the year is the holidays. I know everyone says that, but there is just something so special about them. The OHS Tigers obliterated the Quilcene Rangers on Saturday afternoon, November 24, at the Wenatchee Apple Bowl. This lady knew that they could get the job done after I looked at the stats and discovered that the Tigers have outscored the Rangers this season 866 to 88. The Tigers took the Apple Bowl game by a score of 65 to 6, with Marcus King walking away with the Sportsmanship Medallion in this semi-final playoff game. Music in the Air A concert will be performed Friday, Nov. 30, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 1, at 2 p.m. by Alicia Mielke on flute and Kevin Garnica on piano at the Mielke barn located at 35099 Rolinco Road E., near Sprague, nine miles south of Harrington on the Harrington-Tokio Road. The Odessa Junior Livestock 4-H Club is once again busily gearing up for Christmas Fest, which will be held in the Odessa Community Center next Wednesday, December 5. On November 15, twelve FFA members were able to compete in State Potato Judging and State Tractor Driving. This event is held annually at CBTech in Moses Lake. FFA members from all over Washington come to compete. The potato-judging teams spent many hours looking over potatoes and studying their workbooks.
