DAVENPORT – A Creston man convicted of first-degree child molestation was sentenced to 12 months confinement in Lincoln County Jail. Mathew Scott Chafin, 31, will also serve lifetime probation and five years of treatment after he was found guilty of the charge in Superior Court May 4. Chafin originally pleaded guilty Dec. 15. ODESSA – The Odessa High School baseball team finished up their 2021 season with only a single loss in a non-conference away game against Brewster that followed a recent win against the same team at home.
