A full complement of the Odessa Town Council met Monday evening under the leadership of Mayor Lois Hubbard. Odessa FFA members and ag shop students have been working tirelessly in the greenhouse this year. They started back in December, picking out the plant plugs and seeds to be ordered. In February the first plugs started arriving in the mail. As the plugs came in, they were transplanted into bigger pots, so they would have lots of room to grow. With over 1,000 plugs coming in over a period of a few weeks, the students were super busy, and the greenhouse filled quickly. Through February and March, many plants were started from...

With spring approaching, the Farm Service Agency Youth Loan Program is a valuable tool in the lending toolbox. The Youth Loan Program assists youth in 4-H and FFA who are interested in agriculture.
