    SPRAGUE—Taxpayers are being asked to help Cemetery District No. 7 fund cemetery maintenance and operation expenses through a regular property tax levy on the Feb. 14 special election ballot. The levy would be collected for one year (2024), district commissioner Joy Vold said. Taxpayers would be charged approximately 28 cents per $1,000 of assessed property value for a total collection amount of $35,000.     DAVENPORT — Most of the United States was under some winter storm warning over Christmas weekend. As a result, temperatures dropped several degrees below zero around Lincoln County. While it was cold (-12 for Davenport, Odessa and Harrington), previous winters were bitterly cold. According to the National Weather Service, the lowest recorded temperature for January for Davenport was in 1996 (-28), 1950 (-27) and 1979 (-24).
