DAVENPORT – The Gorillas won’t be fielding a high school team this season, athletic director Tim Zeiler and recently-hired head coach Ethan Wynecoop decided last week. Less than nine players had been showing up to practice regularly, and the school determined there likely wouldn’t be enough regular participants to reliably hold a season. All games were cancelled. REARDAN – The Colfax Bulldogs (6-0) continued their winning ways against the Reardan Indians (1-3), controlling the first game of a doubleheader 22-1 and holding on 5-2 in the second game. Reardan took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning in its home opener when Abe Nelson scored Aiden Kieffer on an RBI double. REARDAN – The undefeated Colfax Bulldogs (6-0) scored plenty and gave up nill in a convincing two game sweep over the Reardan Indians (2-2) during the team's doubleheader April 20. Pitcher Jorja Koerner was the star of the show for Colfax in the first game, a 16-0 six-inning victory for the Bulldogs.
