The Davenport Gorillas girls volleyball team received a proper send-off to the state tournament on Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 12. With emergency vehicle sirens blaring and lights flashing, the girls were escorted out of town. They opened the state tournament in the Yakima Valley SunDome in Yakima on Wednesday morning, Nov. 13. Beginning Jan. 1, the National Park Service is raising fees to camp, boat and more at the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area. COLFAX - The Davenport Gorillas suffered a shutout defeat, 32-0, to the Colfax Bulldogs on Thursday, Oct. 24 in a Northeast 2B League matchup.
