    Drew Lawson, The Record-Times|Updated Dec 14, 2023

LIBERTY LAKE -The Odessa girls basketball team had enough firepower to top Chesterton Academy despite missing senior Melloney Deife last weekend, but the Tigers didn't have the firepower to overcome the attack of the rival Wilbur-Creston-Keller Wildcats a day later. • Reardan girls fight past Davenport

    Drew Lawson, The Record-Times|Updated Dec 14, 2023

DAVENPORT - A rivalry game is rarely pretty, no matter how much better one team may be than the other on paper. Take, for instance, this year's Apple Cup, where Washington State forced undefeated Washington to have to put together a game winning drive just to hold off the bowl-less Cougars. Or the Los Angeles Rams always seeming to give the Seattle Seahawks fits despite the Seahawks often sporting the superior roster. And the cliché certainly applied to Tuesday night's...

REARDAN-If one came into the Screaming Eagles' season opener against the Deer Park with no knowledge of WIAA alignments, they might have thought that the Reardan boys were the 1A school and the visiting Stags a 2B underdog. But it was the 2B Screaming Eagles routing 1A Deer Park in a non-conference game 70-41 Thursday, Nov. 30. Reardan found the ultimate balance in its dominant victory, the first of head coach Jake Green's Screaming Eagle career. Green played 11 players...

Reardan played lockdown defense in the first quarter and found just enough offense between turnovers forced by the Stags' 2-3 zone press to take an 8-7 lead after eight minutes behind four points and four rebounds from Tenice Waters.
