IRBY-Jolene Janacek of Lake Stevens has been coming to Desert 100 for seven years. Janacek is a street racer for Angry Possum Racing and was the Northwest Motorcycle Association poker run chairwoman this year. She helped with the Ladies' beginner ride during the weekend and competed in the 50-mile event. Janacek placed 35th place out of 45 racers in her class. ODESSA - Basketball is more than just a game to Larry Moffet. It has been a way of life for almost 40 years. But Moffet's run as an assistant coach for the Odessa boys and girls teams came to an end when he announced his retirement at the March 22 school board meeting. SPOKANE--The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) will host two public meetings in late March to inform anglers of planned changes to future white sturgeon fishing seasons on Lake Roosevelt.
