Will I Ever Slow Down

I’m always in a hurry, yes, I’m always flyin’ low.

Makin’ ever’ minute count, when runnin’ to and fro.

I follow a schematic, a mental blueprint in my mind.

I insist there is an order, so I’m not runnin’ blind.

Perfection is a must, though some don’t understand.

No matter what the venture, everything must be well planned.

I believe, yes, in self discipline, I live by a set of rules.

I often whip and drive myself, unlike do many fools.

I hate chaos and confusion, abhor things in disarray.

I detest the slightest mayhem, and despise a screwed up day.

I like to be efficient, I loathe doing something twice.

I’m very self demanding, I like everything precise.

So when there’s a job confronting you, tackle it with zeal.

Hard work will never kill you, the blisters, they will heal.

Keep your nose to the ol’ grindstone, try not to complain.

And live life with the energy, of a hurricane.

For everyday is very precious, it’s not given us to waste.

Do rise and shine real early, and do each task with haste.

Do each chore with vigor, tackle every job with zest.

Keep a nice bright attitude, and always do your best.

For I share a little secret, some wise words I was told.

If you never, ever slow down, you never---will grow---old.
