Harrington Fall Festival a small-town delight

The Harrington Fall Festival took place last weekend, with a football game Friday afternoon, a folk-music concert that same evening (see Lise Ott’s article on the concert, page 4), a parade on Saturday morning and throughout the afternoon alumni reunions of former Harrington High graduates.

Lunch in the park included deep-pit barbecued beef sandwiches (with sides of potato salad, baked beans and chips), burgers, hot dogs and soft drinks. Vendors were selling alumni shirts, pies and other items. There were also raffles and drawings for all kinds of gift baskets and other prizes.
