The Odessa-Harrington Titan volleyball team split its most recent two matches, dominating Springdale before bowing to Davenport.
O-H vs. Springdale
The Titans defeated Springdale, 25-13, 25-19 and 25-6, September 20 at Harrington.
Lexi Hirst (11-0), Koralynne Kuch (14-1) and Cydnee Kieffer (9-0) led the serving. Kuch and Kieffer each had two aces.
Spiking was led by Kendall Todd and Chelsea Fisher, who combined for 11 kills and 4 blocks. Charli Moffet set 14 kill assists.
On defense, Kira Powell contributed 6 digs, while Hirst and Kuch each had 4.
Head coach Ken Scherr noted that “the girls are playing hard and continue to improve.”
O-H vs. Davenport
On Thursday, September 22, Davenport swept O-H 25-15, 25-14 and 25-21.
Lexi Hirst (12-0), Kendall Todd (5-0) and Chelsea Fisher (3 aces) led at service.
Charli Moffet added 14 assists. Fisher contributed 5 kills and 6 blocks, while Todd had 3 blocks.
Moffet had 15 digs, Jordyn Tanke added 10 and Hirst had 9.
On serve receives, coach Scherr added that “Lexi Hirst, Kori Kuch and Jordyn Tanke were spectacular as usual.”
“Davenport is always tough. We needed to serve tough and in to win, but it didn’t happen. Defensively we played HARD,” said Scherr.
