The Odessa-Harrington Titans battled the Wilbur-Creston Wildcats in a showdown which took place in Odessa. The first quarter of the game was sloppy, resulting in a scoreless tie.

The Wildcats scored four total touchdowns, all via the run. The first touchdown score in the game was a rushing touchdown by Wilbur-Creston with 10:11 left in the second quarter.
The pass defense of the Titans was outstanding, with no passing touchdowns allowed. They also picked off two interceptions during the game. The Wildcats were resilient, scoring another rushing touchdown to stay within eight points of the Titans, 14-22 at halftime. Jared King (7) gets my game ball for returning a kick 85 yards for a touchdown, three passing touchdowns, one rushing touchdown, accounting for more than 300 yards of total offense.
Four of the six Titan fumbles by King were due to problems with the center. King also had a team-high 10 tackles, while Brett Larmer (12) and Cade Weber (3) each had seven tackles to help the Titans win 42-28. The Titans dominated the Wildcats in the second half, again outscoring the Wildcats. Several fourth down stops by the Titan defense were the key to the victory.

To add just a few more statistics on the W-C game: Weber scored twice on 26 and 48-yard pass plays, King scored twice on a 10-yard run and the kick return mentioned above and Larmer scored twice on a 45-yard pass and a 7-yard run. Larmer also completed two of the Titans’ two-point conversions, and King completed one. Although he made no touchdowns, Stetson Sanford carried the ball often for the Titans and gained considerable yardage.
