Serving Lincoln County for more than a century!

"Listening posts" here Oct. 24

The Lincoln County Economic Development Commission (EDC) is currently in the process of compiling data to be used in a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy for the county. Students from Eastern Washington University will be in Odessa October 24 to obtain input from citizens for the project.

"Listening posts" will be set up between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. outside Odessa Foods and the post office. Students will have story boards with four different questions for people to answer. According to Margie Hall, EDC Executive Director, this will be a 1 minute exercise where the public will be asked to rank the importance of some of the economic strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats faced by Lincoln County.

Residents are being asked by the EDC to take a few minutes to provide this information, which in turn will help the EDC to formulate an economic strategy for the future of the county.
