Tingstad & Rumbel coming to Opera House

On Friday, November 4, Grammy Award-winners Tingstad and Rumbel, will bring the beautiful sounds of acoustic guitar and melodic woodwinds to the Harrington Opera House auditorium. This will be a rare opportunity to hear performers of such high caliber.

Eric Tingstad and Nancy Rumbel have performed, recorded and toured together for over 24 years with 19 albums to their credit. Tickets are $15 and are available at Harrington Food, Harrington City Hall, AmericanWest Bank (Davenport) and The Odessa Record, or by calling 509-253-4719. The Harrington Opera House Society is continuing its efforts toward rehabilitation of the historic 1904 opera house in Harrington. Just recently, local contractor Ray Harrington donated time to plaster above the stage in the auditorium, and a grant of $2,000 from US Bank allowed for the installation of a sound system.

The Odessa-Harrington Homecoming Dance was held in the Opera House auditorium on October 8, and it was reported that those attending enjoyed dancing the evening away under the chandeliers.

Santa will make a return visit to the Opera House in December.
