Serving Lincoln County for more than a century!
It was Senior Night in Odessa, and Brett Larmer (12) was the lone senior on our football team.

We played the Almira-Coulee-Hartline Warriors in a contest that was virtually one-sided throughout the duration of the game. Missed tackles, dropped passes, flags, offensive line breakdowns, and our defense was a major contributor to our team’s loss. ACH blew us out of the water, winning by over 40 en route to a 64-20 victory. ACH scored early and often, scoring on 7 rushing touchdowns and a punt return.
In the first quarter, Stetson Sanford (31) fumbled the ball on the 3 yard line which would have put the score at a potential 8-8 tie near the end of the first quarter of action.
We endured a bit of a scare when Sanford required a stretcher late in the second quarter and was taken away in an ambulance.
Jared King (7) threw for 2 touchdowns and also threw an interception. He made 12.5 tackles and a sack as well.
Cade Weber (3) got this reporter’s MVP ball with 7 catches for 159+ yards and 2 TDs.
Overall, the playoffs are this coming Friday and we need to attack at the line of scrimmage and control all three phases of the game; offense, defense and special teams.
Editor’s note: As part of his senior project, Matthew Lane will be covering sports events and writing reports on them for The Record.
