As he promised, the speaker that night at the Batum school, finished his presentation talking about Joyce Kiesz and her future husband, Larry.
Fisher, Larry and Joyce Elaine Kiesz, (d. 7/20/2050, Larry – age 128, Joyce – age 127). Joyce will be born 1937 in Batum at the Raugust farm, one of four children born to Edward and Bertha Raugust Kiesz. Larry will be born 1936 in the Fisher’s addition at the Berry house in Palouse, Washington, one of two children born to Russell and Verna Manning Fisher. Joyce will live on the Raugust farm until 1949 when she and her family will relocate to Odessa, Washington. She will graduate from Odessa H.S. 1955 and attend Eastern Washington College for two years. Larry will live in Palouse, Washington, Grangeville, Idaho, Clarkston and Spokane. Washington. He will graduate from North Central H.S. 1954, from Washington State College in 1959 with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering and from Washington State University in 1961 with a Master of Science in Architectural Engineering. Joyce and Larry will marry on 8/18/1957 in Odessa, Washington. Between 1961-1963, Larry will serve in the military with the Army Security Agency; will reach the rank of Captain. While in the military, Joyce and Larry will live at Ft. Devens, Mass. Larry will become a licensed Architect in the State of Washington in 1964, In 1969 he will become President of the Construction Specifications Collaborate, Inc., a specifications consultant firm. From 1969 to 1998, he will be a Professor in the School of Architecture & Construction Management at Washington State University while at the same time (1973-1989) being a Professor in the College of Art & Architecture at the University of Idaho. He also will direct the Construction Management Program his last 15 years at Washington State University. In 1973, he will be advanced to the rank of “Fellow” in the Constructions Specifications Institute, a “national” organization in the design/construction profession. Pallbearers will be “the relatives.”
