Letter to the Editor: Jack rabbit absence noted

When reading the story of the 1935 rabbit drive near Irby, I wondered if it was about jack rabbits. I can't remember seeing one of them since the 1950s. I wonder if anyone has seen a jack rabbit on their property lately? The drives really must have worked, as they are gone, or I am not looking in the right spots when we come over for a visit.
