Serving Lincoln County for more than a century!
The 10th Annual Ryan Floch Memorial games were held at Big Bend Community College in Moses Lake December 13. The Odessa-Harrington Titans took on the St. John-Endicott Eagles, as the boys and girls varsity teams fought it out in a non-league contest. The BBCC Runnin’ Vikings then played an exhibition game against the Gonzaga Mens Basketball Club team.
The winner of the Ryan Floch Scholarship was Cody Groth of Republic. He plays guard for the Vikings. His older brothers also played for BBCC. The scholarship for an Odessa student was not awarded this year, because there was no applicant from Odessa.
The event raised $1,050, and there was a good turnout, according to Doug Sly, BBCC Foundation director.
Titan girls vs. St. John-Endicott

Jordyn Tanke made the first O-H score in the second quarter to kick off an 8-2 run, closing the gap to 15-8 at half time. The Titans were able to pull within six at one point in the second half, but the Eagles held them off and took the win.

It was not enough to derail the Titans, though, and they came back strong in the fourth to put the win in the record books.

BBCC vs. Gonzaga Mens Club
The Vikings defeated the Zags mens basketball club (not the NCAA team) by a score of 98 to 73. The players from the small Moses Lake community college showed the basketball-loving Zags of Spokane how the game is played.
