INCIDENT LOG
Editor's note: Most items in this section reflect the starting point for response by local police and emergency agencies. The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.
Jan. 9: Deputies responded to a reported assault at a Lakeview Terrace Mobile Home Park unit, from which yelling and screaming was heard. Coulee Community Hospital personnel treated a woman who complained of a bump on the head, alleging that her "significant other" had thrown her to the floor.
Wilbur Police responded to the theft of $45 worth of gas from the Wilbur Mini-Mart. A white GMC pickup truck was sought.
Jan. 10: A woman living on Ross Street in Davenport told dispatchers a man rang her doorbell and knocked on her door several times, identifying himself in various ways.
Several deputies responded to a collision involving a pickup truck and Reardan-Edwall School District bus on SR 231 north of Reardan. Students on the bus reportedly weren't injured and continued on their way to school on another bus. The driver of the truck apparently had attempted to pass the bus in foggy and slick conditions and slid into it twice.
Deputies and Wilbur Police investigated to a stolen vehicle report from a residence on SE Trinity in Wilbur, from which a red four-door Pontiac Bonneville was taken. It turned out to be a repossession.
A caller reported a car "full of teenage girls" passed three other vehicles at one time on SR 2 near the weigh station between Davenport and Reardan, almost causing a collision.
Deputies responded to a possible domestic situation involving a man and woman in a minivan parked outside a gas station in Sprague.
An Orchard Road resident told dispatchers he believed his home had been burglarized when his wife discovered an unlocked window with the screen removed. Deputies found no signs of forced entry or anything missing.
Odessa Police took a harassment complaint from Chiefs Bar and Grill, where a threatening note was found on a patron's car. In another incident, officers also investigated a threatening phone call received by a resident of North Division Street.
Jan. 11: A Davenport resident reported that a large brush pile had been dumped on her property on Adams Street.
Odessa Police investigated a possible burglary at a residence on Fourth Avenue, where a caller saw people removing boxes from the home.
Jan. 12: A buck head with horns was discovered cut off at the neck and left behind in a parking lot near Harrington Machinery in Davenport.
A mattress in the roadway was reported on SR 2 about a quarter mile east of Reardan.
Davenport firefighters were dispatched to what turned out to be a slash pile burn on property along SR 25 about nine miles north of Davenport.
Jan. 13: A collision involving a truck and dog was reported at SR 28 and Scott and Red Bridge roads.
A collision involving a car and deer took place on SR 2 at Zeimer Road east of Davenport.
A Creston woman advised dispatchers that she had been intentionally locked out of her residence on NE Foster.
Jan. 14: Dispatchers were advised of a possibly intoxicated man setting off fireworks along Ross Street in Davenport.
A King Ranch Road resident reported he awakened to someone spotlighting his house.
A vehicle was reported on fire near SR 23 and Gilliland Road.
Spotlighting at Seven Mile and Cottonwood Creek roads was reported.
Jan. 15: A caller described a man who ran out of gas while apparently taking the back roads from Harrington, where he had purchased a vehicle, because it was without registration. The man accepted 3 gallons of fuel from the caller but declined any further assistance.
A collision involving a vehicle and deer was reported near the Egypt elevators on SR 25 about 14 miles north of Davenport.
Three deputies responded to a report of a possibly suicidal individual.

Jan. 11: Quinn S. Turner, 40, Quincy, Wash., arrested by Washington State Patrol (WSP) for driving while under the influence (drugs).
Jan. 12: Carl W. Wolfe, 36, Spokane, held under contract with Cheney Police for two counts of third-degree malicious mischief.
Jan. 13: Bonnita K. Clough, 37, Sprague, arrested by LCSO for failing to appear for driving while license suspended.

New Criminal Case
Robert Paul Buckingham, 27, of Odessa, is charged with third-degree rape of a child in connection with a Jan. 6 incident involving a teenage girl. Registered with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office as a Level 1 sex offender, Buckingham has been placed by the court under a sexual assault protection order.
New Civil Case
Progressive Casualty Insurance (Katie Bageant, insured) seeks $5,779.54 in reimbursement from Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Rempfher and Mr. and Mrs. Dustin Rempfher, in a matter involving a Nov. 8, 2009, collision between vehicles driven by Nathan Rempfher and Bageant on SR 231 and Devils Gap Road north of Reardan. Alleging that the collision occurred after Nathan Rempfher failed to stop at a stop sign, the petitioner also asks the court to order the suspension of the defendants' driver's licenses.
