Varsity girls basketball team gets three big wins in a row

The Titan basketball teams both had a very good week, with three games in the win column for each of the varsity teams, boys and girls.

O-H vs. LaCrosse-Washtucna

The Titan girls came out on top in Tuesday’s game in Washtucna against the Tigercats by a score of 33-25.

Jessie Whitaker led the scoring for the Titans with 12. Charli Moffet added 9, Jordyn Tanke 4, Chelsea Fisher 3, Kendall Todd 3 and Hannah Schmidt 2. Also playing but not scoring were Rebekah Marshall, Carley Williams, Cydnee Kieffer, Ashley Baarstad and Katelyn Worley.

Girls JV

The girls junior varsity played only two quarters.

O-H vs. Wilbur-Creston

The Wilbur-Creston game was played in Creston on Friday, and the Titans had one of their best shooting games of the season. They won 60-45.

Whitaker once again led the Titans, this time with a whopping 18 points. Kieffer added 11, Todd 10, Moffet 7, Tanke 6 and Marshall and Fisher 4 each.

Girls JV

The junior varsity game against W-C was a win for the Wildcats, 38-22. Hannah Schmidt was the top scorer for the Titans with 12 points. Katelyn Worley added 6, McKenna Watkins 3, Kaeli Shockley 2 and Jenna Shafer 1. Ashley Baarstad and Carley Williams also played for several minutes each but did not score.

O-H vs. St. Michael’s

Against St. Michael’s of Spokane, the varsity girls got another league win, defeating the Warriors 50-29.

Chelsea Fisher used her height to good advantage in this game, racking up 16 points to lead all scorers. Moffet had 7, Whitaker 6, Kieffer 6, Todd 5, Marshall 4, Tanke 4 and Williams 2.

The girls junior varsity also won their game, 34-27.
