INCIDENT LOG

Editor's note: Most items in this section reflect the starting point for response by local police and emergency agencies. The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.

Jan. 16: Dispatchers referred a report of a domestic assault involving a family in Reardan to local police.

A caller from Seven Bays asked for assistance with what he described as an "out-of-control" teenager.

Stage smoke used by the cast of the Davenport High School production of "Beauty and the Beast" tripped a fire alarm at the school.

The driver of a vehicle badly damaged in a one-vehicle collision on SR 2 near Wilbur was transported to Lincoln Hospital in Davenport.

A caller advised dispatchers that while driving his vehicle across SR 2 from Tramm Road, he may have caused another driver to leave the highway, go into a ditch and hit an old telephone pole. Extensive damage was reported to that vehicle.

A man in his 20s or 30s dressed completely in black and asking passersby for money for cigarettes outside Trader's Express in Davenport was reported by a caller as suspicious.

Jan. 17: A railroad crossing arm was malfunctioning at Bluestem and Coleman roads.

Poor visibility was reported on roads south of Reardan and Davenport.

Blue sparks were seen shooting from a transformer on a pole along SR 21 near Eagle Springs Road.

A near-collision involving a UPS truck and another vehicle was reported on SR 21 north of Wilbur.

A pickup truck pulling a trailer was reported on fire on SR 2 near Wilbur.

A woman reported damage to her vehicle from a basketball-size rock on Deer Meadows Road in the 42000 block.

Reardan Police investigated the theft of a car that had been started up by its owner, who then went back inside her Maple Street residence while the vehicle warmed up.

Jan. 18: Law enforcement dealt with several weather-related traffic accidents on county roadways, including I-90 near Sprague and SR 21 about three miles south of Odessa, where an unoccupied vehicle was found deep in a ditch.

City of Davenport personnel assisted a Park Street resident who reported his home was flooding and he was unable to turn the water off.

Black Bear Motel personnel in Davenport communicated uneasiness about a "suspicious" patron whose vehicle had caught on fire earlier in the day. What was thought to be "snooping" at a neighboring residence turned out to be the man searching for a lost dog.

A collision involving a semi-truck and a pickup truck was reported on Harrington-Tokio Road near the Lincoln-Adams county line.

A semi-truck spun out while traveling south on SR 25 about 21 miles north of Davenport.

A vehicle went into a ditch along SR 174 north of Wilbur.

Deputies were advised of a dispute concerning tires between a formerly married couple in Davenport.

Jan. 19: BNSF railroad personnel worked on a malfunctioning crossing arm at Downs Road.

Someone used a wheelbarrow to haul snow from residential property to in front of the Almira Town Shop doors, blocking access.

A vehicle sustained "extensive" damage after a collision on the SR 231 bridge near Little Falls Dam and Fisher Road, north of Reardan. Damage also was reported to a guardrail.

Jan. 20: SR 25 between Davenport and the Spokane River was closed by the state Department of Transportation due to poor visibility.

Despite multiple requests by county Public Works to stop plowing county roads in the Sprague area, a man continued to do so, prompting a request for intervention by law enforcement.

A Seven Bays resident advised dispatchers he had received a fraudulent text message involving a $1,000 gift card to Best Buy.

Emergency personnel converged on the Hog Canyon area where a vehicle had been discovered in a parking area and tracks leading onto the lake, but none apparently coming back.

A man was arrested on an assault charge after a Mohler resident's dog was run over by a vehicle and killed.

A Lincoln man reported his Skyview Place residence had been burglarized. Bedroom drawers were found open. Jewelry, a $250 gift card and tools from the garage were reported missing.

A stop sign at SR 25 and McInnis Road near Davenport was down.

Kids sledding down the Sixth Street hill near Davenport Water Park were advised of the safety danger.

A semi-truck became stranded on SR 25 about two miles north of Davenport.

A deputy was able to assure a woman that her friend was safely home at her Eagle View Lane residence after the latter left Reardan but was out of contact for about 90 minutes. The road was so snowy that the deputy had to walk into the residential property to check on her because his patrol vehicle probably wouldn't have made it without getting stuck.

After two semi-trucks became stuck on SR 231 near the canyon north of Reardan, Lincoln County authorities advised their Stevens County counterparts to alert trucks coming from there about the wintry road conditions.

Odessa Police responded to a request from a business operator to have an unwanted individual removed.

Jan. 21: Dispatchers took a report that Mill Canyon Road was "very bad" as a result of the weather.

A caller reported a van was traveling in a reckless manner on SR 28 south of Davenport and had almost caused a collision.

Jan. 22: A general fire alarm from the 500 block of Amende Drive in Odessa turned out to be false and local firefighters were advised to stand down.

Milo S. Iaulualo, 24, Harrington, arrested by Lincoln County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) for failing to appear for driving while license suspended and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jan. 18: Erik C. Johnsen, 46, Wilbur, confined by the court two days for reckless endangerment.

Jan. 19: Rayana K. Sweigert, 24, Almira, arrested by LCSO and held for Grant County for failing to comply with the court's sentence for driving while license suspended.

Jeffrey S. Norris, 28, Addy, arrested by Washington State Patrol for driving while under the influence.

Jan. 20: Mikhail V. Posheyko, 27, Spokane, confined by the court two days for driving while license suspended.

Tamara A. Roberts, 43, Spokane, confined by the court seven months for second-degree theft.

Michael R. Roemer, 63, Mohler, arrested by LCSO for fourth-degree assault.

Jan. 21: Bethani M. McKelvy, 30, Davenport, confined by the court four days for reckless endangerment.

Jan. 23: Christina L. Foshee, 22, Ada, Okla., held under contract with the Washington State Department of Corrections.

New Juvenile Offender Case

A 15-year-old Seven Bays boy is charged with two counts of second-degree theft in connection with the taking and use of three credit cards from two individuals from Dec. 10 to 23, 2011. About $1,000 was charged without permission of the card owners, according to the charging documents.
