February 5 brings out the sun and the shooters

Fifty-nine shooters turned out at the Marlin Gun Club February 5, taking advantage of the clear, sunny conditions.

Bill James, Doug Starkel and Camden Eckhart all shot 25.

Mark Iksic, Harlan Thrall and Scott Heimbigner shot 24, and Dave Lang, Dave Asker and Ken Eckhart all shot 23.

Shooting 22 were Carmen Eckhart, Justin Starkel, Mike Christ, Daryl Kimble, Ken Thompson, Kurt Moore, Dusty Kimble, Mackenzie Bemis and Josh Gray.

Wade Lesser, Mark Edwins, Matt Mortimer, Jason Ellsworth and Lynette Nelson all shot 21.

Shooting 20 and under were Scott Mortimer, Austin Nelson, Jeff Norley, Donna Thrall, Jake Bennett, Mark Brashear, Doug Brashear, Tyler Greenwalt, Carl Nations, Susan James, Cody Kamstra, Hope Ellsworth, Kevin Burck, Rick Kamstra Jeremy Lodi, Staci Garrett, Chase Janett, Kara Gunderson, Keeva Kimble, Pam Brashear, Megan Smith, Jordan James, Shelbey Brashear, Genn Gray, Jacob Starkel, Kemp Reynolds, Griffey Powell, Steve Powell, Daton Garnes, Derik Burck, Frank (last name unknown), Jake Moore, Artie Ribail, Loren Totusek, Kathy Ribail and Brian Witte.

High Handicap winners were Doug Starkel (1st) and Mark Edwins (2nd).

Odessa

Odessa shooters just missed the mark Sunday, as no one managed to hit all 25 targets.

Landon Lobe, Nick Tebow, Tom Schuh and Sam Greenwalt shot 24, and Larry Weber, Harley Wraspir, Lane Lobe and Traig Weishaar hit 23.

Shooting 22 were Jared Praetorius, Jim Smith, Tyler Smith, Justin Hunt, Randy Gies and Bill Weber.

Ryan Lewis shot 21.

Shooting 20 and under were Pilot Weishaar, Koree Smith, Brady Gies, Stacey Hunt, Mike Nichols, Sr., Hailey Williams, Andrew Holman, Nick Nelson, Garrett Braun, Colton Hunt, Wyatt Haase, Max Greenwalt, William Mann, Carson Weber, Aaron Gies, Jaden Hunt and Camden Weber.

High Handicap winners were Tom Schuh and Jared Praetorius. High Doubles was Brady Gies, and Jared Praetorius was Continental winner.
