Following is a list of incident reports on file at the town marshal's office for January 30 through February 4.
On January 30, Odessa police were contacted by a deputy from the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, who reportedly had been informed that a MIP (minor in possession) party was in progress at an address in the 300 block of East First Avenue. When law enforcement personnel arrived, there was no evidence that minors were in possession at that address.
On February 1, a report of a collision between a bicycle ridden by a juvenile and a motor vehicle was called in by the driver of the motor vehicle. According to the report, vehicles parked close to the corner obscured the vision of both the driver and the bicyclist. No one was injured in the incident.
On February 2, Odessa police were requested to provide an agency assist at Odessa Memorial Healthcare Center, when a resident was flown to Spokane after an apparent stroke.
On February 3, Odessa police received a complaint that someone was driving a pickup truck in a loud and unsafe manner. The officers were off-duty when the complaint was called in, but were able to observe the pickup driving in an aggressive manner later in the day and issued a verbal warning.
Also on February 3, a call was received regarding a pickup apparently left running in a locked building. Officers contacted a resident, who had forgotten that he had started the pickup to charge the batteries.
On February 4, police stopped a driver who was speeding on Alder Street. The driver was unlicensed, could not produce valid identification, vehicle registration or proof of insurance and was going 13 miles over the posted limit. The driver told the responding officer that he was test-driving the vehicle prior to purchasing it.
