Always AglowShe lives in Irby, valley lowRustic cliffs, creek waters flowWhere often deer, buck and doeRoam through yard, meander slowSounds of geese, and rooster’s crowSmell of sage, old willows bowSummer sunsets, breezes blowKiss so soft, a face a glowFarmer’s wife, status quoPretty lady, she’s named GloPlanting corn, in garden’s rowWashing clothes, weeds to hoeChanging diapers, lawn to mowShe’s not lazy, Gene’s wife GloFour girls, a boy, they slowly growWorks at school, in the big “O”Church and meetings, to and froFace lit up, her eyes a gloMaking clothes, she can sewDresses nice, from head to toeCares for mother, this I knowFilled with love, big heart a GloNever tires, it seems as thoughRefreshing smile, she is a GloShining face, it warms the snowLike burning candle, soft a GloA caring person, it does showVirtuous wife, this lady GlowShe married Gene long agoAnd to this day---she’s still a Glo-----Arley M.
