Andrew Holman will serve as Fest music chairman

The Chamber of Commerce was informed that Andrew Holman has agreed to be the music chairman for the 2012 Deutschesfest, replacing April Strebeck who has done the job for several years.

Laura Estes reported on the success of the 2012 Quilt Show and the Downtown Quilt Walk. According to Estes, attendance at the quilt show was up over 10%, from 252 in 2011 to 283 this year. Quilt walk participation was also up, with 22 businesses participating vs. 12 in 2011, and with 20 more passports being completed.
