Odessa Lions Club members broke ground Wednesday May 4 to begin the next phase of Festplatz improvements, installation of a permanent outdoor stage which will provide more space and flexibility for performers as well as general improvement in the appearance of the Festplatz.
According to project chairman Dale Ramm, concrete forms are being installed this week, after which the site would need to be back-filled and compacted and concrete poured. Observers will probably not see building until around the first of June.
