INCIDENT LOG

Editor's note: Most items in this section reflect the starting point for response by local police and emergency agencies. The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.

May 14: Dispatchers were advised by the state Fish and Wildlife Department of its helicopter looking for bighorn sheep in the Lincoln area.

A county Public Works vehicle was involved in a collision with a deer on SR 2 near Rocklyn Road.

A Sprague man reported the theft of commercial fishing equipment from the south end of Sprague Lake.

A caller advised of individuals fighting outside a residence in the 100 block of West Airport Loop Road near Davenport.

A trailer was reported stolen from the Grange Supply gas station on SR 28 outside Harrington.

A woman demanded immediate response to "a personal family matter" at a Merriam Street residence in Davenport, but refused to give her name or any specifics to dispatchers.

A truck rolled out of a parking area at a store on Miles Creston Road and SR 25 and stuck a guardrail.

Reardan firefighters assisted with a semi-truck loaded with metal that was reportedly on fire while traveling south on SR 231 from Stevens County.

Juveniles were seen hanging off a sports utility vehicle in motion on Waukon Road near Cloverdale.

A woman was taken into custody after deputies responded to a domestic violence incident in the 100 block of E Street in Sprague.

Odessa Police investigated the theft of a boy's bicycle while he was at a baseball game at the school.

May 15: A deputy advised individuals against parking vehicles for sale in the state right-of-way at Morgan and First streets in Davenport.

After responding to a report that someone was using a pipe to destroy a man's car in Harrington, a deputy determined it was a verbal incident only and that the vehicle was not damaged. Later, a woman was taken into custody for domestic violence assault as the dispute escalated.

Two young boys were in a vehicle involved in a rollover collision at Alexander and Krupke roads near Reardan.

May 16: A Davenport woman reported unauthorized charges were made on her debit card.

Deputies investigated a man's complaint that medications had been stolen from him.

A caller told dispatchers that a small motorbike was continuously driven at excessive speeds up and down Fourth Street near the school in Harrington while children were outside.

A caller reported that a man appeared to be camping in the trees near the Davenport Water Park, but a deputy determined that the claim was unfounded.

A Sprague woman was taken into custody after a reported fight with a man in the 100 block of East Fourth.

Deputies responded to a report that a group of people had threatened a man in Odessa.

Dispatchers were advised of a possible ammonia leak in the 400 block of Second Street in Harrington.

Reardan Police handled a narcotics-related incident at Reardan High School.

May 17: A caller reported that someone used her Social Security number to file taxes.

A deputy advised a man who was observed sleeping in the Davenport city park not to do so.

A Davenport business reported that a woman attempted to charge about $300 worth of merchandise on another woman's account, claiming the two parties had an arrangement, which was later determined to be untrue.

Deputies investigated a narcotics incident in the Davenport area.

A caller reported that someone stole a truck he had placed near Davenport Lanes and marked for sale. A fuel line in that vehicle and a nearby Les Schwab truck had been cut.

A Burlington Northern Santa Fe employee advised dispatchers of three men using a side-by-side ATV equipped to run on railroad tracks. The men said they thought the track off SR 28 near Mountain View Cemetery Road had been abandoned.

The driver involved in a one-vehicle collision on SR 231 about six miles north of SR 2 suffered head injuries.

A driver was ejected from a vehicle involved in a rollover collision on SR 2 near Davenport.

A caller described a series of thefts of "house for sale" signs over the past two years from property north of Davenport.

Hearing a lot of yelling coming from a residence on West Glover in Harrington, a caller requested assistance from the sheriff's office.

The "local three-legged deer," known to Wilbur residents over the past five years, was found caught in a fence at the Big Bend Golf and Country Club.

May 18: A caller reported a burglary of a hunting cabin on Irby Road east of Webley Lake. Apparently taken were $100 worth of alcohol and a vacuum valued at about $100. Several hundred dollars of damage resulted from the entry.

A bolt on a gate at property on Macabee Road near Sprague was found cut and items missing.

A Davenport woman reported that someone loosened a wheel on a caller's vehicle, cut the rope on a lawnmower and is responsible for strange phone calls.

A dead cow and blowing garbage were found in a field off Carstens Road in the Reardan area.

May 19: An electrical problem may have been responsible for a mobile home fire in the Little Falls Dam area that is owned by Avista Utilities.

A caller reported someone had fired a gun in the direction of cows on property off Downs Road near the railroad crossing.

A deputy responded to a report that three young children had been left alone in a vehicle parked outside a Davenport business for about 15 minutes.

May 20: A Sprague woman reported receiving harassing phone calls.

Odessa Police investigated the theft of items from the old Chevron station.

Reardan Police responded to malicious mischief reported at the local elementary and high schools.
