Mya, Natosha and Katreace Boss helped plant a tree at Twin Lakes campground and will earn Girl Scout badgets for their work on the project.
A shade tree has been donated by the friends and family of the late Rex Gibson of Odessa. The flowering cherry tree was planted at the Twin Lakes campground by local Girl Scouts Mya and Natosha Boss (representing the Junior Girl Scouts) and Katreace Boss (representing the Brownie Scouts). All three will earn a badge for planting the tree.
Anyone using the campground over the summer, fishermen in particular, are asked to water the tree each time they visit. Once the tree is established, it will no longer need as much water.
