INCIDENT LOG
Editor's note: Most items in this section reflect the starting point for response by local police and emergency agencies. The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.
July 2: Davenport deputies responded to a verbal dispute at a Fifth Street residence after a caller told dispatchers about loud shouting originating from there.
Davenport ambulance personnel assisted an older woman who had fallen at the Cowboy Café.
A caller told dispatchers that a firefighter on scene at Williams Lake Road near Sprague told him to get out of the road and then spit in his face.
An Edwall woman told dispatchers that she planned to "make a point" to her Oregon Street neighbors by setting off fireworks. She claimed the neighbors had threatened to file a report on her in response to previous encounters between them.
People on the roof of the building housing the Davenport Alternative School at Morgan and Eighth streets attempted to spit on two pedestrians as they walked by.
July 3: Upon awakening, a Davenport woman discovered her daughter and juveniles she didn't know inside her Main Street house and pills missing from her purse.
A caller reported his vehicle had been involved in a collision with a county Public Works Department vehicle at Douglas and Elliot roads.
An individual was apprehended after a caller reported the theft of metal from property on Crescent Road North.
A tree across Indian Creek Road obstructed traffic there.
Someone kicked in a door on an Odessa School District bus while parked adjacent to East Fourth Avenue.
Deputies determined fireworks were responsible for a caller's report that someone was knocking on all sides of her house on Krupke Road near Reardan.
Odessa Police responded to a report that loud birds placed on a porch on West Fourth Avenue were causing a disturbance in the neighborhood.
July 4: A caller expressed concern that his residence on Washington Street in Davenport might be targeted for a break-in and asked for a deputy's assistance.
Less than an eighth of an acre was consumed in a fire in a yard on Hart Road North that was determined to be the result of wind causing power lines to short out and produce sparks. Firefighters from Davenport and Egypt were dispatched, along with an Inland Power and Light Co. crew.
A caller reported seeing what looked like a reindeer on SR 2 west of Reardan near the weigh scales, but a responding deputy was unable to locate any deer.
A deputy responded to a trespassing report originating from a Johns Rocky Way resident.
A deputy advised a Glover Street resident in Harrington that his burn barrel fire was illegal and asked for it to be put out. A caller reported seeing flames extending 3 to 4 feet above the barrel.
Stevens County deputies took charge of a woman who reportedly displayed a gun and threatened to take her own life while at Two Rivers Casino north of Davenport.
A lot of pushing, shoving and yelling were reported during an incident involving several individuals in the Jones Bay campground.
A Sprague woman asked for a deputy's presence near her Third Street residence when she noticed several individuals in the street shooting off bottle rockets.
A strong ammonia odor was traced to McGregor's in Davenport.
A Davenport woman told dispatchers she believed fireworks falling on her vehicle parked along Jefferson Street were damaging it.
Odessa Police investigated the theft of prescription pills from a woman living on East First Avenue.
July 5: Deputies secured the lobby and main entrance of the county courthouse after alarms went off.
MedStar air ambulance was dispatched to Fort Spokane to assist an injured person at the boat launch.
A Harrington woman asked a deputy to help her get her driver's license and Social Security card back from a man she described as her "now ex-boyfriend."
Deputies investigated a narcotics incident south of Davenport that resulted in at least one suspect taken into custody.
Wilbur Police and firefighters responded to Emerson Park, where used fireworks had been placed in a plastic garbage can. They reignited and melted the can.
A deputy assisted Reardan Police in the investigation of several individuals smoking marijuana in the 100 block of East Railroad Avenue.
July 6: A caller reported hitting a moose while driving a logging truck on Tamarack Canyon Road about a half mile from the timber line off Bald Ridge Road.
A Davenport woman reported patio furniture had been tipped over at a Fifteenth Street residence.
A Davenport woman told dispatchers that prescription medicines, $50, a set of earrings and a necklace disappeared from her Eleventh Street residence after a party there.
A Mill Canyon Road resident reported the theft of a checkbook and fraudulent activity involving her account.
A Harrington girl was transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane after reportedly taking five Prozac pills in what her grandmother believes may have been an attempt to take her own life.
A Creston woman reported that several pain pills were missing after a Fourth of July party at a Bobcat Trail residence.
An Almira area property owner reported scrap metal missing after doors were broken on a garage and shop on Zimbelman Road.
A caller reported "extremely loud" music going on for several days at a residence on First and C streets in Creston.
A neighboring tree fell across a backyard fence in the 500 block of West Third in Sprague, causing damage to a vehicle.
Railroad crossing equipment at Irby malfunctioned.
A man was observed peeling paint from the Billy Burger building in Wilbur.
July 7: Deputies responded to a domestic incident with alcohol involved at a Maple Street residence in Almira.
No one was reported hurt after two vehicles collided in the Cowboy Café parking lot in Davenport. Both drivers were in the process of backing out from parking spaces at the time.
Davenport firefighters responded to a fire originally thought to be in the Cayuse Cove area. The blaze actually was on Spokane Tribe land in Stevens County.
A tree down on Miles Creston Road blocked the westbound lane.
July 8: National Park Service personnel were advised of an intoxicated boater on the water near Seven Bays marina.
Someone spray-painted "Sympathy Rebels" on the side of St. John's Lutheran Church in Sprague, where signage also was vandalized. Deputies discovered that the same phrase in red and white paint was placed at other places, predominately in the northeast area of the city, including the park pavilion.
Sprague emergency personnel assisted a 5-year-old girl at a West Oak Street residence with a zip tie around her hand.
An occupied but disabled boat reported near the Seven Bays area was towed to Lincoln. A malfunctioning propeller was blamed for the problem.
A Creston caller reported that a fence between properties on NW Anderson was being torn down without authorization.
While passing on SR 2 near Creston, a head-on collision sent one vehicle into a field and the other blocking the roadway. Five occupants suffered minor injuries; at least two were transported to Lincoln Hospital in Davenport.
Deputies investigated reports of individuals and noises inside a vacant house on West Second in Sprague.
A one-vehicle rollover accident was reported on SR 174 near Wilbur. The driver was transported to Coulee Medical Center.

A transcript of a Lincoln County District Court judgment against James R. and Karen M. Stocker, of Sprague, awarding $4,152.60 to petitioner Chapman Financial Services of Washington was filed with the Superior Court.
New Civil Case
Petitioner Kristina Marie Scholz, of Sprague, desires a protection order against Michael Joseph Craig in a domestic violence matter involving two minor children.
New Juvenile Offender Cases
Two 16-year-old Creston boys have been charged in connection with a break-in on June 9 or 10 at the Creston School. A computer laptop valued at less than $750 was taken, along with cash from a pop machine, and damage valued at less than $750 was reported in the business manager's office. Both are charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree theft and third-degree malicious mischief. One of the boys also is charged with second-degree computer trespass for allegedly accessing the school's database without authorization.
