Head Titan coach Bruce Todd added the following commentary: Odessa-Harrington played hard and fought to the end but just couldn't match the speed and quickness of the Panther quarterback and running backs. The Titans played the Panthers fairly tough in the 1st, 3rd and 4th quarters, but fell short in the 2nd quarter allowing the Panthers to score 3 unanswered TDs.
The Titans lost all-league quarterback and middle linebacker Jared King on the second offensive series with a knee injury. He will be out for the season with a torn ACL. The Titans also lost running back and all-league defensive back Markus Smith with a concussion, but he will likely be back in a couple of weeks.
