Letter to the Editor: Medicare recipients should pay bigger share

I learned a lot about Medicare in the last year. A knee replacement (that went south) and an infection I picked up at the hospital enabled me to extend my hospital stay. I was then taken to a recovery center for a total of 52 days before I was able to go home. I am thankful that my teacher’s retirement insurance covered basically everything that Medicare didn’t.
