Volleyball games set furious pace in September/October

In a non-league match against Columbia High School in Hunters on October 2, Odessa-Harrington overwhelmed Columbia in three straight games to take the match 25-7, 25-5 and 25-12.

Kendall Todd led the Titans offensively with eight aces, followed closely by Jordyn Tanke and Cydnee Kieffer with seven each. Chelsea Fisher had five kills and Katie DeWulf had four.

On defense, Kieffer got three digs, and Fisher got one block. Koralynne Kuch was credited with eight assists and Alexa Boss six.

The following Thursday, October 4, the Titans lost in four games to the Davenport Gorillas by scores of 15-25, 25-12, 25-20 and 25-23.

Kieffer led the team in aces with four. Fisher had 22 kills and four blocks. Kuch provided 32 assists. On defense, Kieffer and Jordan Tanke had five digs each.

Then on Saturday, October 6, O-H defeated Lind-Ritzville-Sprague in three, 27-25, 25-17, 25-18.

Todd had five aces on serve. Kieffer had three digs and Kuch had 30 assists. Fisher added 16 kills and six blocks.

The girls will finish out October playing two or three matches each week. District play then begins in the first week of November.

On Tuesday, October 9, O-H defeated Almira-Coulee-Hartline in five hard-fought games. The scores were 17-25, 25-16, 22-25, 25-15 and 15-10.

Tanke contributed 5 ace serves to pace the Titans. Kuch had 30 assists and Fisher had a resounding 23 kills.

On defense, Tanke led with 5 digs and Fisher had 8 blocks.
