Pre-winter house prep

If you have an underground sprinkler system, the time has come to blow those pipes out. To avoid expensive repair bills in the spring, be sure to expel all water from the pipes with an air compressor and open your run off drainage pipes. We've already experienced a few dips below freezing, but next week the overnight lows will descend into the low 30's and 20's likely for the season. Indoors, adjust your thermostat accordingly. If you use space heaters, think safety first. Shut them off when you leave the house, keep them away from clutter and flammable objects, never leave children unattended...
