On Thursday, January 3, 2013, the lady Titans played a makeup game against Liberty, losing 25-31.

Chelsea Fisher led the Titan scoring with 12. Jordyn Tanke added 8, Cydnee Kieffer 3 and Katie DeWulf 2.
Fisher had 14 rebounds and 3 steals; Tanke 4 rebounds, 5 steals and 5 assists; Carley Williams 2 rebounds, 1 steal and 2 assists and Katie DeWulf 2 rebounds and 1 blocked shot.
“The Liberty game left us very disappointed,” said head coach Kim Kruger, “but with some things to work on and very excited about the great performance by Chelsea Fisher, a double/double (Editor’s note: points scored and rebounds in double figures).

Junior varsity
On January 4, the girls JV teams met in a close matchup. Odessa eighth-graders Zoe Clark and Shelbey Watkins joined the JV team and helped add some depth.

Lanessa Simon and Shelbey Watkins had 7 points each to lead the Titan JV. Ashley Baarstad had 2 points and Sam Nighswonger 4.
Simon had 1 rebound, 3 steals, 1 assist and 1 blocked shot; Baarstad 9 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 assists; Nighswonger 9 rebounds, 4 steals, 2 assists; Clark 4 rebounds, 3 steals; Watkins 5 rebounds, 3 steals, 1 assist; Kaeli Shockley 3 rebounds, 1 steal; Makayla Baird 3 rebounds and 1 steal.
“We really missed Casey Schlomer in this game. The addition of two 8th grade players was a big help to us for numbers in both the varsity and JV games,” said Kruger.
Varsity
Fisher led the scoring with 12, while Kieffer was not far behind with 10. Carley Williams had 9, Katie DeWulf 8, Kendall Todd 6, Hannah Schmidt 4 and Jordyn Tanke 2.

“This game was very close until Cydnee Kieffer really turned on the hustle and changed the course of the game a few minutes into the 4th quarter. She made key steals and scored 9 of her 10 points in that quarter. Chelsea Fisher was great the whole game,” said Kruger. “We finally showed some consistent scoring throughout the St. Michael's game and it was great to have Cydnee Kieffer really come back to her old self and really play. She really battled almost all of Christmas break with sickness, and she is finally starting to feel better.”

Saturday in Spokane, the Titans took on the Valley Christian team.

Kruger’s comments: “Chelsea was great in all three games and in two of those games she had double/doubles in scoring and rebounding. Jordyn Tanke is always going strong and has very consistent stats in every game and was awesome at getting the ball to Chelsea in the game at Valley Christian.”
