Primetimers seek to expand group membership in 2013

On January 2, 2013, the first meeting of the new year was held by the Primetimers senior group at the Old Town Hall. After a nice luncheon, some of the members stayed and played pinochle and Mexican dominoes.

After a lengthy discussion, it was decided that the group would try once more to have a Saturday game evening on February 9 at 7 p.m. It is hoped that a few more interested people will attend either to teach or just play cards or dominoes. Game night is open to the public. Please mark the evening of February 9 on your calendars. There will also be a posted reminder at the local post office.

The senior group has existed for many years, but attendance has declined, especially on game nights. If the February 9 evening event does not prove successful, the group will go back to social time after the afternoon meeting on the first Thursday of each month.

The Primetimers’ regular meeting will be held February 7 at 12:30 p.m. The group is open to all ages. Dues are $5 per person for the year 2013. Birthdays and attendance will be recognized at each monthly meeting.

Try to attend. We need you seniors to continue to have a senior citizen’s group.
